What we do
In terms of the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act (Act No.9 2011), our mandate is to:
Provide an alternative dispute resolution service.
Regulate, monitor and quality assure governance documentation.
Provide training for conciliators, adjudicators and other employees of CSOS.
Preserve and provide public access to governance documentation.
Promote good governance of community schemes.
Provide education, information and awareness to owners, occupiers and stakeholders.
We deal with any matters as may be necessary to give effect to the objectives of the CSOS Act and to ensure the fair and efficient regulation of community schemes in South Africa.
